Great video, narrated by Rula Lenska, about Dame Daphne Sheldrick and her efforts to protect, and rehabilitate orphaned animals in Kenya's Tsavo National park during the 1950's and '70's.
This woman is the Mother Teresa for the OTHER majestic animals. Watching this and watching the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, there is no doubt this woman has done more for the elephants of Africa than anyone else, including her husband. This woman is just an exceptional human being, one of the few that shows up now and then among human populations. It must have been hard for her, seeing the majestic elephants population plummeted due to poaching, during her 50 years in her native Kenya.
Dame Daphne is a goddess.
