MARK ZAPICO "THERE AND BACK AGAIN" at the DETROIT REP THEATRE LOBBY GALLERY

Mark Zapico is a graduate of College for Creative Studies and currently Associate Professor and Chair of the Advertising Department. Before joining CCS nine years ago, he was creative director and art director creating award-winning advertising for brands such as Pontiac, Cadillac, FTD, Mr. Goodwrench, Detroit Lions, Dow, AAA Michigan and many more.
Zapico describes his work as a fluid personal exploration of form and meaning. His imagery moves from realism to abstract to cubist to symbolism and back again. He sites Franz Klein, Miro, Kandinsky as a few of his influences.
Zapico's debut solo painting exhibition, "There and Back Again," at the Detroit Reperatory Theater can be viewed as a search for form, personal narrative and inner meaning.

Wonderful work. I wish I were near Detroit so I could see everything myself. How would one find a way to buy some of Mr. Zapico's work, since I live in another State?
