@ZLUGGO i think jones would have had a basic grasp of the guitar before the ramones came along .joe and paul from the clash played along to them to improve their playing

@pit2ryan3 that`s no doubt true `live and dangerous` (thin lizzy) was supposedly done completely in the studio but there is a van morrison one where van refused to overdub a single note. the live footage on `rude boy` (the clash) was also studio`d

HOLY CRAP THIS WAS A PUNK SHOW !!!! ACTUALLY THIS WAS A ROCK & ROLL SHOW !!!!!!!
-
@DrumGuitarDude Is NYC 1978 overdubbed too?
-
-
@DrumGuitarDude ...
Yeah, it really sounds like that ...
Plus a fair amount of fake crowd-noise added as well ...
Many celebrated live albums (most of them, actually) are not as "live" as we thought ...
-
thats because "Its Alive" wasnt really live, it was just studio recording with some HEAVY overdubs.

@pit2ryan3 Yeah, the whole It's Alive album is completely overdubbed, save for the drums. I was pretty disappointed when I found out.
