  • impresionante combate. Thanks.

  • MUGABI retired HAGLER.i believe after this fight he decided to retire.toughtest fight he ever had.

  • @panchoyy It's called the manly art of self defence.

  • leonard, beat hagler?? u on drugs huh? of course.. what ray leonard did back then was not smart boxing he was a little girl running away through out the fight, only women do that; oh sorry for that coment ladies

  • @The24KaratBlack I agree,Leonard was the better rounded fighter,BUT in my humble opinion I dont think he could win a war of attrition, remember Duran-Leonard I?Leonard fell in the trap of slugging it out with Duran and paid dearly for it,he could beat Hagler only by doing what he does best and that is smart boxing.

  • @julius5551 In my opinion, a fight with Hagler in his prime & Leonard in his prime, Leonard would win a decision against Hagler, it would hav been a battle of wits with no Knock downs but Leonards speed would hav got the points. Hagler missed a gud opportunity 2 beat him up, even thou Leonard still had the speed he had lost his legendary stamina. I think they both came out winners really, many people think Hagler won, some thing Ray won, Ray got the decision Hagler got the money.

  • @The24KaratBlack Leonard allowed Hagler to even take the largest purse in exchange for all his demands being met,I also suspect that Hagler even though had slowed down a tad,was a little overconfident since Leonard had being retired for a while and went straight to fight him w/o testing the middleweight waters first,it sounded like a far-fetched idea back then but boy did he prove a lot of people wrong despite the questionable decision.

  • @julius5551 U gotta hand it 2 Leonard he would employ whatever legal tactic he could 2 better his chances of winning, i do like Leonard very much he was like the perfect boxer. Hagler jus wanted 2 get in the ring with him so he could shine, maybe boxing righty 4 the first few rounds was 1 of the hidden concessions they agreed 2. Leonard was retired & not @ his best, so even with a slowed Hagler he new the later rounds would B his undoing, he also new he could never hurt Hagler.

  • @The24KaratBlack To be honest,I always found it was a big mistake for Hagler to yield to so many concessions when he fought Leonard, ring size, gloves size etc,he didnt need the fight really at that point,so why letting your arm to be twisted like that?I guess the temptation of facing Leonard prove to be too much, besides he fought with the wrong strategy, turning right handed instead of his standard southpaw stance trying to box with him,but I think if they wouldve met in a rematch Hagler takes it.

  • @julius5551 Indeed, i hear that, the Marvellous 1 truly retired @ the right time. @ least Sugar gave him a decent pay day B4 he left, even thou the decision was questionable.
