The battle in hedge groves is often the forgotten part of the in northern France. People mostly just focus on D-Day. But there was a battle after D-Day that took thousand of allied and German lives.

  • Good vid but the narrators voice cracks me up. He seems to have trouble pronouncing words lol.

  • @Riyun72 A friend did it, it harder then it seems to narrate.

  • that is true, I know when the russians invaded berlin, there were 500 germans, among soldiers and civilians in a manor house. They all fought to death. I admire that, that is why I read a lot about what happened there. Lets hope that never happen again, that no race is smarter than everybody else. Inteligence is a product of good education and good parenting, not genes, and this is proven with scientific research, many times...

  • yep

  • hte germans were great soldiers, but most of them nazi fanatics. 25,000 of them committec suicide ( you knew that?) and many more fight with the resistance, as partisans. Many fleed to south america and avoid the pain. But what hurt the most the germans in Normandy was that Hitler was asleep and could not be wake up until 11 am. By then it was too late. And those guys were dying for that guy. Many germans used to think they were very smart, but after all, they were not, were they...?

  • I known, you don't need to state facts. I'm not say that there were little bit of fanatics around. some Germans were smart and other were not that smart it. but there are few bright Germans that had common sense and stud up against Nazi. but they are rare cases. But lot of people make stupid mistakes when times are bad. Those fanatics still fought to the bitter end.

  • really nice vid!

  • @Riyun72

True. Also, is it just me or does the narrator seem apathetic? He sounds tired & he has this monotone voice that just makes me want to fall asleep.

  • @Skandalos I'm of pure German descent myself and it may that way now in Germany with all the Muslims they let run the country , but in WW2 they were very brave soldiers , not cowards as you say .... they were the best army in the world to fight 10 countries and 2 theaters at the same time and could have won had it not been for their maniac .... they were men with sweet hearts & wives & children and fighting to survive and get back home were killed by the 3Rd reich if they refused . BRAINWASHED

  • When I was a kid I was proud of what German soldiers achieved in WW2 (being a German myself). My father served as 17year old during the last half year of the war. My mothers father served from the start of the war until he got captured by the Russians. I loved to listen to their stories. Today its all different, because I have learned, that the character of the German people hasnt changed one bit. It is a kind of cowardess. It was all a matter of fear, not courage. We just got no balls.

  • I hate people that do this but I guess I'm one of them, check out my video: watch?v=Ojh-wcS2t9s.

It's a little montage I put together of Battle of France footage. Tell me what you think it's my first video so I need your most brutal criticsm if I have any hope to improve. Again sorry for this awful self promotion but I don't know how else to do it.

  • @Hurricane333 You are right! You can also see the mistakes on his comments as well...just a kid I guess. Good footage though.

  • They were called Hedge Rows not Hedge Groves.

  • LOL, the narrator can't say words.

  • What´s the name of this song? Thanks:)
