Metheny totally owned that sound... it's the jazz equivalent of what framptom did with the Vocoder... but Pat turned this sound into an aesthetic study... the 80's were maginificent for Pat Metheny, both in popularity and creative work... and outside of PMG he always had the amazing ability to just stretch and have fun with it.... it's cool to see this video!
