Amateur clip of train enthusiast filmed in august 2009 from train riding railway near station Čerčany u Prahy (railway from Prague to south to Austria), Czech Republic, Central Europe. You can see construction of Czech railway corridor. Especially new bridge over river Sázava and reconstruction of station Čerčany u Prahy. Filmed in direction from Prague. Unfortunately there will build more and uglier acoustic shielding along the track. In my opinion acoustic shielding should be built along highways but not along railways. Highway isn´t nice for countryside but railway can be

Railway corridors in Czech Republic are constructed since 1993. The point is to improve main rail tracks for speed 160 kph. But often it is reconstructed for smaller speed. More funds are spent on highways nowadays.

ČESKY: Amatérské video vlakového nadšence natočené v srpnu 2009 z okna projíždějícího rychlíku v okolí železniční stanice Čerčany u Prahy na trati Praha České Budějovice. Vidíme zde postup výstavby 4. železničního koridoru ČR. Zvlášť přestavbu mostu přes Sázavu a rekonstrukci stanice Čerčany.

  • I hope other Romanian tram systems will survive. I really watched most of tram tracks on norc street view. Pictures were taken in 2008. Some tracks were in operation and it was sad to watch rude car drivers on tram track. We have some tram preference systems. I´ve seen belt of fresh asphalt in the middle of wide avenue. It was sad to imagine that there were trams several weeks ago! Cars parking on disused track. I think they should paint bus lanes at least!

  • Constanta is an exception and a bad example for Romania! We have a lot of other cities were people love the trams and there are also projects for developement S Bahn like Arad,Timisoara,Sibiu,Cluj-Napoca,Oradea,Ploiesti,Iasi....

  • Of course I know it. I´m very interested in danger situation for trams. I know it thanks internet. Gliwice, Ivanovo, Voronezh, Vladivostok - disasters for me! I also read about Romanian exGerman tram cities in transport magazine. I write articles on website about closures/openings. I can´t stand it. How can this disaster happen in EU! Trams have lot of advantages! More space for cars will damage your city!

  • Excellent,do you know about our trams! It was a sad moment for me,and such a shame for our community!Despite of the fact that Constanta don't have a tradition in tram transportation(first tram appear in 80'),the extermination of this public transport was a bad and antieuropean decision!

  • This section of track will be completed in half of 2010. Upgrading works will continue on other sections of main railways in Czech Republic. It is usually interesting for me to travel by train. Because tracks are changing after several years. It is nice to see the progress. So you are from Constanta, I don´t like deleting of your tram system. I watched these trams on norc streetview. What do you think about it?

  • Good video! When is the deadline for this upgrading works?
