awwwwwww... poor snake, he doesn't know that the fish is dead so he dares let it go to start eating from its head plus he cant get it onto dry land.

I believe it. One time a construction crew diverted the local creek to work on a bridge and left about 50 small trout stranded in puddles. My son quickly caught them and threw them into a small pond nearby. Every day we counted fewer fish. One night he caught the culprit. It was a snake. We got down to 5 fish left before we put them back in the stream.
