Kedarnth temple is one of the holiest places in north India for Hindhu, as well as Badrinath, Yamnotori, and Gangotri. Kedarnth is a lovely small town with religious atomosphere, and people is very kind and friendly. It took 6 - 9 hours by walk from Gaurikund, a base town for pilgrims and trekkers. You can also hire a horse which cost about 400 rps. An evening puja at Kedarnath is held at the temple from 6 PM every evening. It is slightly different from one at Haridwar and Varanasi. In summer, you can see many sadhu living in the temple of Kedarnath.
