Killer...the friendly dog.

Several years ago, Eleanor and I were visiting our friends Anna and Johnnie in Pageton, West Virginia. This is coal mining country. One of the neighbors down the street had a hobby of catching wild animals like hawks and rattlesnakes. Another had a dog he mistreated on a regular basis. I can't remember the dog's name. But the name "Killer" seems to come to mind. Anyway the neighbor wasn't very good at feeding the dog. So Ann would feed Killer whenever he showed up. If the dog was hungry, he would show up at their door. So here is my encounter with "Killer, the friendly dog".

Playful despite being abused. Gotta love the kindness of such a caring but simple-minded animal, as well as the supposedly "higher" human's virtue being behind that of their pet.
