Here is another painting demonstration in my Gypsy Vanner series. In this painting, I wanted to show that when the sun hits just right, you can look into the eye and see the rich, rusty color while at the same time you are able to see the spherical shape from the contour of the highlights.

  • Hi ;D What are crayons used in the movie? I am very interesting ;)

  • @Daria328694 Hello! I am using soft pastels and pastel pencils. The pencils are Stabilo CarbOthello pastel pencils and some of my favorite stick pastels are Sennelier, Unison, Schmincke and Rembrandt. My paper is Strathmore Illustration or Bristol Board 500 series cold press Vellum 10 ply. I purchase them at Dick Blick here on-line. Good luck! :)) Roby

  • Its so wonderful *__* what do you want for one picture?

  • @XxMieZexX Hello! Thanks for you inquiry. These are small originals... the image size is 4"x5" and when matted fits into a 8"x10" frame. I charge $375 including the conservation framing. :)) Roby

  • Hey there ! awesome work ! One question : From where do you get all your reference photos/ models ? Just random photographs of random animals in your neighbourhood ?

  • @Ohlala1205 Hello! Thanks for the nice comment. As for your question, I try to take most of my own reference photos. When I can't I contact the photographer and get permission or pay a fee to use their photo. I also visit zoo's and have been lucky to have hands on with most of my subjects. Thanks again :)) Roby
