  • how did you get that radiation genorator??

  • From a school science supplier; I wouldn't imagine they could be easily obtained unless you can show you have a legitimate reason for having them.

  • just what i was looking for thanks dude

  • pleasure

  • on a stick?lol that guy must be really sceared of radiation=D

  • @Bloodscalpr I wouldnt like to hold a big lump of pure uranium metal, cause its toxic, but if I would have a radioactive uranium rock or whatever I would dare to hold it for days if needed :P, it does no harm holding a radioactive item, unless its something like plutonium that will fry you like a chicken :)

  • Only flaw is that Lead is itself slightly radioactive. So while blocking it is emiting.

  • @JaksProductions How about radium? Would you hold a lump of that for a few days? You actually shouldnt hold anything that is radioactive, since a lot of stuff emits gamma rays.. they only make it a centimeter or so through the air.. but if your finger is right there you could be subjecting yourself to gamma rays.. For all I know the gamma rays could shread your blood cells and screw with your genes and such.. Most people that had close contact with radioactive stuff ended up dying from it..

  • @taliban0king Do you mean the chunk of radioactive element? If you want to find some americium 243 then look no farther than your common household smoke alarm.. You will only find about 0.1 micro-curies worth of americium.. But if you had like 300 smoke detectors...

Now, if that alpha source makes a geigercounter beep.. it is charging a gas discharge tube.. If that is so, then you should be able to make a tube that converts the radiation into usable electricity.. Use capacitors as collectors..

  • i done this in science the other day, even thought the radiation has a very short range, i just felt like hiding behind a lead screen, cant allways trust teachers -_-

  • @JaksProductions Yeah but I was commenting situation in video not about thing you wrote me. Btw living in a leadbox is also dangerous, because living organism needs a specific level of radiation.

  • @Cheburdac Haha... Ok go live in a Lead box because you get radiated all the time by cosmic radiation.

  • @JaksProductions There is no matter, are you holding it or not. Radiation beams without any contact, you don't have to touch it to get radiated.

  • why does some particles of gamma still go throught the lead whereas others are stopped ?

  • @75SilentWarrior haha. your really, really... REALLY silly. :)
