147 is not the maximum possible break in snooker. If a player fouls and leaves the other guy a free ball before any reds have been potted then a break of 155 is possible.

The guy with a free ball can pot any colour which will count as a red right?... That's a break of 1.

He can then pot the black as his colour... That's a break of 8.

Then he pots all 15 reds + blacks + all of the colours for 147 points, add them to the 8 he has already made in this break gives him a total break of 155.

Am I watching the same video as everybody else? All I see are three great shots and then a lot of sloppy playing. The good thing about this frame are the twists. It's like a M. Night Shyamalan movie.

Well yeah but the 4 points you are given for the foul are not included in the 155 break you make, so you still make a 155 break on your own so to speak, I know what you mean though. Also yeah a free ball is hard to get if 15 reds are on the table, my point was only to say that the highest break possible by potting balls (not including any score given to you by the other guy making a foul) is 155, that is all really.

Ive seen jimmy do it on a video on youtube but never on tv normally.

i agree, but 147 is the only maximum that can you achive by your self, and not by foul shot by opponet!!! also it is very difficult to get a free ball when there are 15 reds on the table.....
