This is the number one scene in cinematic history. I have watched it over 100 times and cried everytime. There is just no substitute for real true love. She is so beautiful. I love everything about her, her smile, her eyes, and her heart most of all. They are married in real life. I know that when he curls up next to her with the fireplace glowing there is no place he would rather be in the entire universe than looking into her eyes and knowing she cars about him. What a pretty smile and eyes:)

I think that in this version, the magic between them is not only there, but, sparkling. The two of them are really showing (not only acting, because they're husband and wife in real life) their love, and it's absolute magic sparkling between them!!!!
Love the version with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. It's the best one!!! just wanted to say that Beatty and Benning were GREAT also!!!!

Yeah yeah... Im sorry but I hate this version. The first one wasn't extremely impressive, but An Affair to Remember was amazing. Cary Grant was so suave, he fit the character perfectly. I'm not a big fan of Deborah Kerr, but Cary could even make her look good. But I don't think even Cary grant could make this one better.

Yes, of course, Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr's version is brilliant, but this story is one that will always work as long as there is chemistry between the leading actors. I do not think that anyone could say, honestly, that there is no chemistry between Annette Bening and Warren Beatty. Similarly, Charles Boyer and Irene Dunne in 1939. The story is the thing here!

how sad that she is now gone for good

I love you, Julie... please come back.
This just made me appreciate the Cary Grant/Deborah Kerr version all the more. Sorry.

I love this movie .. so beautiful and the music goes so well with it.. makes me teary everytime I hear this music. I think this is the only love story that makes me sob a little. Well, they are husband and wife even before this movie and they are still tgt tilll now. My blessings to both of them =)
