  • @speakdino10 "the Bible is actually an interesting history book with some exaggerations."

Put a little more emphasis on "exaggerations" and I'll agree. Try this: "the Bible is actually an interesting history book with some _supernatural_ exaggerations which only the primitive-minded or utterly credulous could entertain." There, much more true.

  • @MrCropper

You need to stay open minded, and look at the bible as a collection of stories and as a very creative history book. For example, the Tower of Babel was based on the ancient Mesopotamian step-pyramids. However, they gave the Tower of Babel a religious meaning. So if you sift through the religious stories, you will find that the Bible is actually an interesting history book with some exaggerations.
