The world's fastest motorsport. Rare Bear and September Fury battle for the gold at the 2007 Reno Air Races with both declaring maydays in the final gold race.
@Drakedragon1315 I dont think so or at least I have never seen one. Most use P-51 or Hawker Seafury. I have also seen 3 f8f bearcats, 1 f4u corsair, and 1 yak3 (with radial engine). It seems most race teams think the same. What I would like to see is a bf109 or Fw190.
Ive been going to the Air Race's in Reno for over 30 years and I dont ever recall seeing a P 40 in the races. But I have how ever seen P 40s in the static display areas and do some flight demonstrations. But never race.
@yakovlev3a seeing a P-47 would be nice

Well, just convert the engine cowling configuration to that of an A-36(P-51A) and it'll go ;)
