@JubalCalif I couldn't agree with you more. I always love Diana Rigg(Emma Peel)in that leather outfit. She was one hot babe. Couldn't wait for the show each week to come on the tv....

It's a very rare and unique record!!! Thanks, I loved the TV series and music theme!!!

@Harryween Agreed, but to be clear (in the context of this particular clip), Dankworth wrote the original Avengers theme (i.e., used during the Honor Blackman era). The theme heard here is written by Laurie Johnson and is a subtle reworking of his original piece called "The Shake". That's not to take anything from the late Johnny Dankworth, who was a great talent in his own right. Just want to give credit where credit is due...

Fabulous writing, really miss the likes of Johnson Astley Goodwin Grainer et al. You hear some real shite by UK so called composers now. I mean stuff like the theme for Spooks. Utter b******. Only the US and others do good work now.

Heavens to Murgatroid! I've always loved this theme song...exciting & sexy, just like the show! Did anyone look better in leather on TV than the sexy but yet intelligent Mrs Peel? Hubba hubba to the max, daddy-o! And the always suave & debonair Patrick Macnee did everything with an engaging twinkle in his eye. THANKS for sharing this delightful "blast from the past" with us! :)
