Paraplegic (with complete thoracic lesion) using noninvasive Parastep electrical stimulation sys. is shown engaged in sport (shooting basketballs, bowling.. The Parastep is FDA-approved, reimbursable by Medicare & Medicaid (details see: Graupe D, Carraro U, Cerrel-Bazo H, Kern H: NEUROLOGICAL RESEARCH, pages 123-130, March 2008). At time of this recording patient has just completed 3 months of Parastep-walking training at University of Miami, FL.

    Your circulation below lesion is most likely down by 40% or more. All studies on Parastep elect stim (noninvasive) show that circulation returns to almost normal when using Parastep daily. Even 1 hr/day will usually suffice. This will greatly affect pressure soars (decubiti ulcers). Regardless - keep your wheelchair & do sports ! Good luck.
