This is the best clip I have ever seen of her. I am so glad this performance was preserved and is now available here. In the long run, I would guess that more recordings will surface, either as legitimate releases or underground circulations. There is too little of the true gold, she was already self-destructing by the time most of us ever heard of her. But I am grateful for what we've got.

These 3 minutes were a real learning experience. It was the first I had seen of Amy Winehouse barring UK press images (which I had ignored). I caught the Mercury Awards on BBC2 half-way through. I was surprised to hear the critics speaking about Amy as a possible winner. Then came Jools Holland's introduction and these 3 minutes: No band; just an acoustic guitar, those words and THAT voice. After that I understood. Thanks for posting. I can now re-live the experience; Amy at her best.
