This has been a year in the making. I got the original idea for a "Run this town" parody during my sophomore world history class. It wasn't until the summer after my junior year that I got down to writing the song and filming the music video. I got my friend Gianna (who is teh awesome) to sing the Rihanna parts. Yes I did auto-tune her a bit. Gianna's singing is perfectly fine but I'm just in love with the auto-tune sound. I also kind of did it because of Jay-Z's anti-autotune stance -- of course he doesn't use it, he's a rapper. Every contemporary professional artist has used pitch correction, but almost all of it is unnoticeable. I say: if you're going to use it, then you should be honest and go all out with it!

Sorry for the rant.

Most of the background footage is from archive.org. I tried to make sure that everything that I used was from the public domain.

Let me answer something that a few people have already asked: No, that is not me in a wig and Kanye shades. That is Ethan. He is wearing my Kanye shades, and that is his hair.

Hope this goes up on NewTV soon.
