I don't fully understand the benefits of this tool over the paperclip. I have an "Ultra Carry II" and have never had a problem with disassembly. You are better off if you remove the slid first then insert the paperclip and remove the spring. Specifically what issues does this tool solve? GunWebsites seems to suggest that the tool is larger so you will be less likely to lose the tool. Is that the main benefit of this tool? Please clarify. THANKS!!

Oh I thought people who talk smack would expect a reply to their idiot comment, guess not

so what about cleaning the spring and guide rod? can you take the tool off, clean the parts, then replace the tool by forcing the spring down??

$25? No thanks. $5 is even too much.

$25 + 5 for shipping. a $30 investment for a $1300 (for me) gun. I personally think Kimber should make a deal with the guy who invented this and include them with all new pistols. the paper clip is a horrible idea, this little part makes my life much easier!

Buy a colt defender, you dont need any of this shit.
I don't own a Kimber. Why do you not want to push down on the grip safety while reassembling?

@seanxvw
It makes a little part pop up and if you didn't notice you could just 'muscle' the slide back in wrecking that piece in the process

Springfield Armory has a little plastic tool they will send you for free, if you didn't get one with your purchase. $25+ shipping for a piece of brass? No thanks

if you don't want to pay for brass ... don't
but some people don't want to use plastic tools .. go for it

$25?
Are you f'ing SERIOUS?
It's a great idea, very smart, but $25 for the same amount of brass as a spent casing???
Come on....So what's the total after S&H $35 or $40?
Geez....

yawn..
$25 is not the same to everyone..
Go buy something cheap, or don't even use a tool
But talk to a few people who own $1000 + pistols and ask them if $25 is significant to them..
I personally can understand how someone would rather have a tool that will last as long as the pistol, made in thew USA and something they don't have to make for something like this
