Wild Baby Bunny - Day 2

My neighbor was mowing his lawn and ran over two, one jumped off while he was drawn to the 7ft long snake that slithered across the yard. He managed to grab the remaining bunny. How or why a momma bunny would have a nest in his backyard is beyond me as he has 2 pit bulls and a wolf-hybrid! Needless to say, putting bunny back was not an option.

We're feeding him half goat milk and half Pedialyte and as you can see, he seems to be thriving. (No diarrhea, which can kill; no stress; he's in a 10 gal tank with a low bulb overhead for warmth)

Eee! How cute! I cared for an orphaned bunny like this (jack rabbit) years ago. Its family was killed by a dog because they were tearing up a grape orchard. You're doing good by feeding it Pedialyte; I recommend soaking some oats in the goat milk when it is ready for solid food. Good luck!

Good for you for looking after this gorgeous rabbit as it would have been left defenceless, judging by your comment above.

I have problems with people who take wild baby rabbits from their mothers when it is totally unnecessary and done purely for selfish reasons.
