  • So whats the story behind this? It has a few big Pixar names attached to it. Was this one of the commercials the studio was doing while they were making their short films?

  • it was a video made on a mac ll to demonstrate the type of power it had back then before QuickTime and when computers only had 16MB of RAM

  • "John Lasseter"? Isn't he the big boss at Pixar?

  • yes he is

  • AAAAAUGH! THE CHAIN MAILERS ARE BACK!

  • @CptDaveLister Also, the Internet didn’t exist when this one was made. That’s a hard concept to grasp, isn’t it? No Internet, thus no Internet trolls, thus no you. I miss it a bit right now.

  • Sad face, He never got back in the computer.

  • @tylerlavite The computers had only 4mb of ram. There is a "making of" pencil test which explains how it was done. They had over 30 mac IIs with 4mb of ram working in parallel to render this and it still took days.

  • thats had to be made by pixar because Steve Jobs is a cofounder in pixar or at least used to be and they just made this animation using mac computes

  • lol i luv how theres only 9 keys on that keyboard 1:02

  • awesome amazing when i saw this a few moths ago i saw the credits andrew stanton and john lasseter were apart of this (disney pixar)

  • I've always considered this animation really clever and fun (and even more if we consider that we are talking about an animation made on an Apple II computer when the computer generated videos were no like today's ones -there were no such a specialized software like the ones available today-).

  • The coach was John Lasseter actual director and the chief creative officer of Pixar. Min 3:15.
