rewat.ch was planned to become the first native iPhone application for the BBC iPlayer service.
Camiloo invested 2 months of its own time developing and honing the app behind closed doors as an internal commercial product, but prior to launch received a cease and desist request from the BBC. Camiloo respectfully followed the terms of this request, as it was never their intention to act against the wishes of content owners. Instead the ideology the application followed was similar to that of the boxee.tv project in the USA; seeing what was possible with publicly accessible RSS feeds.
This video has been re-activated to serve as a historic record of the application for our potential clients. If you are considering iPhone app development, why not give us a call on 0844 884 2523? Our prices start from as little as £995, and we have innovative payment solutions for those on a tight budget.
