  • And you know what? SFPD is where im going to attend the academy, and hopefully work, so if crime is rampant, I will never be out of a job.

  • Nope you'll never be out of a job. FYI. The current Chief Of Police Heather Fong is expected to resign soon, so there is gonna be more political drama within the SFPD. Lots of folks within the SFPD have been hella disappointed with her performance, and as matter of fact it is related to the number of unsolved murders in SF.

  • This footage was used in a court case in San Francisco. Several of the protesters in this video were taken thru the court system only to have the judge put the cases on hold. They were not charged.

  • The cops are just doing their jobs. Im in the process of becoming a cop, and its just what they are trained to do. In reality, they are keeping the situation safe for other people.

  • SF cops cannot stop nor prevent real crimes such as murders or hit and runs, or gang activity, BUT they can hassle a bunch of people exercising their rights to Free Speech. Is that all their training provides? Clubbing of protesters?

Our cops spend way to much time doing the wrong things and not enough of the right things. Thats is why crime is rampant and out of control in the SF Bay Area.

  • So if a bunch of people sit in the middle of the street, stop traffic, and whatnot, the cops should not intervene? Come on. They are trying to keep order. The protestors were not violent, but how were the officers supposed to know that? They were there as insurance to other people and the city as a whole.

  • Keep order? Thats a joke. If Gavin Newsom would create Free Speech zones in SF then they wouldn't have to demonstrate downtown.

How come they can't keep order anywhere else in town?

  • @rebelgirl42 Free speech zones are somewhat of an oxymoron.

  • @ckyguy1 What I'm wondering is what has Joe Sixpack who has to use those streets to go to work everyday has ever done to the anti-war protesters?

  • if you want confrontation, watch the protests in Oakland. This is San francisco. If you really have a cause, is it worth hurting bystandards in the process?

That's why the vandalism and violent krap has been looked down on and pacifism gets more respect.

I was working that day and saw this right outside of our building. I don't mind the protests, but I hate being harrassed.

  • i asked to me why the protesters dot`t give the stones, sticks wood. molotov cockteils and another things for trhows the police are mther focker gringos are very cowards¡¡¡¡¡ i from mexico inmexico we fight face to face with the police

  • hella heavy handed on a bunch of peaceful protestors but in gang neighbourhoods they get punked all the time
