USA-Germany: "Nazi guard" in extradition reprieve

IN THE FIELD: John Demjanjuk, an alleged WWII Nazi camp guard, has been released from custody after a US appeals court decided to halt his extradition. Hours earlier, US agents had carried the 89-year-old from his home to face trial in Germany.

Update 5-8-09 SEVEN HILLS, Ohio (AP) The son of John Demjanjuk says immigration agents have served the suspected Nazi guard with a notice to surrender at an immigration office in Cleveland.

Demjanjuk, of Seven Hills in suburban Cleveland, faces deportation to Germany. An arrest warrant there accuses him of 29,000 counts of accessory to murder at a death camp in Nazi-occupied Poland during World War II. He is 89 years old

It's actually funny, because Hitler didn't even care if one of your grandparents was Jewish, he would still accept you as a German. I am comparing the death of 6 million people (Many of whom weren't Jewish at all) living in conditions with food, showers, beds and many other things to an unavoidable disease that ravaged 100 million people, a disease that no one had any hope to surviving, and all of them thought that their beloved God was punishing them for some reason.

Stalin killed more people than Himmler. Hitler had nothing to do with the holocaust, and didn't even mention it in Mein Kampf. Stalin killed more people than anyone, yet we don't see former communists being taken against their will to a country where they are put on a redundant trial and executed. 100 million people died because of the black death, but the whole world has to stop for a few Jews.

Some of these people, who killed Jewish people and other minorities, were victims themselves, a kill or be killed, order. You don't kill them thats insubordination, and they'd shoot you right then and there. Now, willingly killing them, now thats an evil that I think everyone the world over wishes didn't exist... its truly too bad that some of these people who've put people to their deaths, in droves, can live out their days... truly an unjust world we live in at times.
