I follow the Calorie Restriction lifestyle with Paleo diet guidelines and 70% raw. This mean I don't eat grains, milk, and sugars.
This is a typical dinner meal for me.
Alaskan Wild Caught Halibut
with Wilted Spinach with Balsamic dressing.
Romaine and Kale salad with Flax oil lemon dressing.
The flax oil dressing for the romaine, kale, apple, raisins, bell pepper, cucumber, scallion salad is
juice of one lemon
2 tbs flax oil
1tbs dijon mustard
1tbs honey
kosher salt and pepper
I love the salty sweet combo of this salad.

the hot dressing for spinach
2 tbs while balsamic vinegar
1tbs honey
1tbs olive oil
a bit of soy sauce
kosher salt and pepper
heat this dressing and pour over raw spinach

  • Wonderful work. I was wondering how much you spend on groceries each month. I am a fulltime student on a very very tight budget, but would like to eat very very well and healthy. How would you approach this situation?

  • I am on a budget too. I buy my protein when it is on sale as much as I can afford. I freeze it.

I buy greens when they are grown locally, frozen during the winter. I spend about $600 a month and wish I could get it less. Food seems to be more expensive here in California.

    Good luck with the budget.

  • Most fish you buy that's not pred/fished/raised by YOU, is full of hormones and artificial garbage that you don't want to be eating.

  • I do not eat foods that are inflammatory such as beans and grains. I eat fish once a week.

$600 a month is very reasonable for fresh, organic greens and fruit, grass fed beef, hormone free poultry and eggs.

Right now I am eating organic brown rice.

Thanks so much for your concern for my health, I wish others cared as much for their own health.

  • Wow! Your videos are wonderful. I love your attitude. I'm going to try a few of your great recipes. All the best to you.

  • Thanks so much.

I am glad you enjoyed them.

    Happy cooking

  • You must be feeding more than just you, correct? I live with my girlfriend in Holland, and our grocery bill in Euros is only like 300 USD a month. We grow our own food too, but still. That is a lot. would hate to live in America with all their GMO's & shit.

  • 600 a month? wow! That's ridiculous!. Perhaps you should invest in an Aerogarden, and substitute all that fish for healthier sources of protein such as beans, rice, vegetables, etc.

  • Oops I meant looked below (didn't proof read)!

  • That kooked great very pretty salads & fish!

  • I'm wondering if you have any ideas for me..i would love to eat this way fish salads, but my husband is a meat and potatoe lover and to do two different dinners is costly to say the least...help!!
