  • He's acting as gimlis father gloin

  • @DTaurelion but Gimli was not in Dain's army, and Gimli had actually shown great interest in joining the quest for Erebor but the other dwarves thought he was too young. It wouldn't make sense for him to appear and even though I love the character and John Rhys-Davies, I hope he doesn't.

  • Gimli could easily appear in the Battle of Five Armies when the dwarves arrive, considering that two of his cousins (Balin ["this is the home of my cousin Balin", "here lies Balin, son of Fundin, Lord of Moria"] and Dwalin), his father (Gloin), and his uncle (Oin) are all among the thirteen dwarves of the expedition.

  • @jilijub No Problem..

  • @directorlog I meant my own comment. Not yours. I'm sorry if I came off the wrong way.

  • @jilijub That was dumb? that word "Dumb" sounds like your a kid so keep your opinion to yourself thanks and am probably a lot smarter then you. I checked your channel and doesn't express any intelligence what so ever. I have read all the books and watched Peter's films down to the last detail, I was just referring to this video, have a good day.

  • @jilijub

    yeah, exactly.

i mean, i like the other dwarfes in the book, and the unique styles peter made for everyone look interesting, but some of them just don't look dwarfish, one looks even elvish and has no beard at all, and in the book they ALL have beards, but some look more human than dwarfish, and he also didn't use the colors described by tolkien for their clothes and beards i think.

Gimly looked like the perfect Tolkien dwarf.

  • @OropherThranduil I agree. No other dwarf can match the epicness of Gimli. *Sigh of nostalgia*

  • @jilijub

    i know what he said.

i mean he didn't want to be salla for the little 5 second cameo, which was good.

but i hope he does, icould imagine it, i mean look at how PJ cares for his cast, moving filming to england for chris lee to be able to play saruman.

i could imagine him changing his mind if PJ calls him.

i don't know, it would be awesome.

  • @OropherThranduil Good point. But I think Rhys made the decision not to have a cameo because he felt it wouldn't have a purpose. It makes more sense when he says it. Look it up and you will understand.
