Ovarian cyst

An ovarian cyst is a fluid-filled sac in or on the ovary. Many ovarian cysts are noncancerous cysts that occur as a result of ovulation (the release of an egg from the ovary). These are called functional cysts. Functional cysts normally shrink on their own over time, usually in about 1 to 3 months. Often functional cysts do not cause any symptoms (you may not even know you have one), but other times they can cause abdominal pain, menstrual irregularities, nausea and vomiting. If you have a functional cyst, your doctor may want to check you again in 1 to 3 months to make sure the cyst has gotten smaller. If you develop functional cysts often, your doctor may want you to take birth control pills so you won't ovulate. If you don't ovulate, you won't form functional cysts.

i have a golf ball sized cyst on my left ovary. it was found last month as we have been trying to conceive for the past year. today i have an appointment to see how its doing and what to do about it.

Now i have to say no boyfriends and sex at my age because of the cyst :[

@Lovely101Lady Awwww honey!!! i"m so sorry you have to go through that. I had my Cervix frozen at the age of 14. Now I'm 25 and have 3 beautiful children and have to have a 10cm cyst removed from my left ovary. I know its scary but just be brave my dear. God will be watching over you :)

My name is karlie and i'm 13years old I was told yesterday that I have to get a big cyst on the right side of my tummy,my mom as very shocked so was I, the pain got so bad now I have to get it removed.:(I'm scared
