would this method be better than just using lubuntu?

@D3monSpawn1 As of now (Oct 2011), it really makes no difference...the Lubuntu Team has make so many big steps, that it has all the features you'll need from a clean install. The only reason you may want to install LXDE, now, is if you simply want a VERY fast, light-weight GUI, instead of Gnome, KDE, or even XFCE

lxde is pretty nice, can you get rid of gnome or xfce once you install it? or if I was doing a minimal command line install of ubuntu, could I just go straight to lxde?

@aisaac2008 You CAN, but I wouldn't get rid of ALL others...maybe leave one or the other (just in case).

Ok I did it like you showed in the video and Xubuntu works like a charm with LXDE. I had to learn how to modify the clock to "normal" time. Thanks again.
