Usually drop-C on 6-strings, drop Ab on 7-strings. He uses a few different ones other than those too.

I've got it set up with a nice low action, and it plays awesomely. The scale is a 25.5" I believe. If you have a chance to get one, I'd definitely encourage you to do it.
