What would happen in the orbits of suburbia if the sun disappeared completely? Not much probably, at least until electricity runs out and substations explode. Youtube is ideal for malformed bitesized melodrama, and underproduction often injects a palpable sense of genuine 'horror' in the repellant classical sense of the word, warranting many a "WTF" from its meandering patrons.

By having to explain all this, the fun has vaporised. Tsk.

  • wldnt we just build another one?

  • Within a week, the average global surface temperature would drop below 0°F. In a year, it would dip to –100°. The top layers of the oceans would freeze over, but in an apocalyptic irony, that ice would insulate the deep water below and prevent the oceans from freezing solid for hundreds of thousands of years. Millions of years after that, our planet would reach a stable –400°.

  • @Fleskhjerta1 Photosynthesis is the least of your worries. If Sun vanished, we'd lose our orbit. You wouldn't have to worry about losing gravity. That is a byproduct of the Earth's size, not it's orbit or rotation. We would have to worry about freezing to death first.

  • Photosynthesis would be gone, which is HORRIBLE for us, so then we wouldn't breath and suffocate to death.

Earth's Gravitational Pull would be lost, or we would Orbit around Jupiter, the second largest gravitational pull in our Solar System.

Heat would be retained for at least one week, if not more.

  • @ColeJames27

The Earth Would be bad in about 1-4 weeks, as it will retain heat.

The more serious issue is the lack of Photosynthesis.

  • it would get very cold, very fast.

  • Some wonderful noises throughout. Loved the 'bread, batteries and satsumas' bit too.

  • Still one of the best things i ever saw. The answer machine thing alone deserves a BAFTA.

  • wow intense stuff. I like.

  • Welcome in Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam.
