I hope Omnitrans keeps theirs for another decade. Theirs are also becoming rare. I was able to ride one to school last week.

Just hearing the sound of that bus reminds me of my trip back in 2006...makes me wish I could rewind back to that moment one last time....

So all the RTS of LACMTA are retired?
In New York City all the pre-1994 RTS are being replaced New Orion VII Next Generation . All the pre-1994 RTS will retire in Mid-2009 and 2010. Also pre-1996 Orions are also being replaced by the New Orion VII Next Generation and all the pre-1996 will be retire in mid-2009 and 2010.

OK so here is an update, they were supposed to have been retired that night BUT they only later realized that the CNG buses would not be able to fit into the maintenance bays so after all that fuss they will live on!
