ook i was told directly froma aikh that gatka is lost :( the british ruined it an form what it looks liek this is true i see alot of things that are more choreographed then "parring forms" but hhey this is ok because it takes time an effort to reinvent it but you can allways learn something else in the mean time come back an fix your martial art !!!!!!!!!!!

No disrespect bud, but that really isn't a question worth asking. I am Sikh and my primary art is Kali DBMA. I found for myself Gatka was not the best fit since it took to long to actually progress from empty hand to weapons. Check out dog brothers if you want to see what I do.
Each art has it's positive and negatives. Take what is usefull and be a student for a lifetime. The journey is just as important as the destination bud.

@GabhrooShakeen09 and you have quotes from sikhmani sahib and other gurbannis, etc. and yet looking through your favourites i see videos degradding sant ranjit singh dhadrianvale.. and SANT JARNAIL singh LOOOOL your some failure sikh arent you? you might wanna read sukhmani sahib again " Sant ka dokhi"... and theres 2 astpatis on that make sure you can even read punjabi first kid

ur an idiot. gatka is for defenders of the faith, be they male, female, amritdharis or non amritdharis, sikh or non sikh.
