@mazinais31 Not anymore, but now there's just the mess. No more releasing of the crap anymore. (Yay!)

speaking of the new, "more efficient" green replacements, no one ever figured that to lighten the new cars, they gave up some width and hence, we lame commuters now fall between the platform and car. thanks mta

WTF? MTA is throwing away good historical pieces or scrap metal. There so lazy not to put some of the cats in central park for kids to climb on BUT NO,they throw them away like yesterdays trash and into the ocean for god sake! MTA is a bunch of fucking environmentalists who think by replacing these important cars with more expensive shitboxes!? where do we have the money to replace them in this economy? "REEF BUILDING" is another word for piling shit thinking its good for the environment.

Are they removing work train redbirds? I just wonder...

in the next 30-40 years the new subways like r160 will be siting on that boat ready to go into the ocean

there is nothing wrong with those old train cars i ride them EVERY day and the only thing that is bad about them is that they screech like hell when they brake. the mta overhauled these cars just ten years ago, costing them several million bucks!!!!!! and now AT LEAST instead of scrapping them they are partners with peta to help save fish????!!!!!
Did a Fish die?
I mean man come on!
This is so bad for the water!
