Video taken on my mobile of the inside of my TVR Speed Six Engine (the engine in the Sagaris is a Tuscan S 4.0L) as the rocker covers were off due to the tappets being set as part of a service.

  • i was just wondering are these engines more reliable now than earlier models at all.

    nice car btw

  • Hiya

Yes, the later engines had the issues resolved and the majority of the early ones have now been rebuilt to the later specs.

Mine is a 2004 engine and not been rebuilt but if it does go, I will be putting in the TVR Power upgraded engine.

  • sounds like tvr are giving better customner service then. i dont own a tvr but im a big enthusiast. hope you car is good in the long run, btw nice colour.

  • Thankyou :o) maybe see you at one of the many meets.

    Cheers

  • are the tappets on these engines shims? do they require measurement then renewal if needed when they get service adjustments.

  • @pancakewsx Yes, individual throttle bodies.

  • very stout inlines!! Love it

  • you should do some new update videos =]

ill subscribe just in case you do ever upload another one of the Sagaris

of course thats if you still have it =]

  • There are individual throttle bodies for each cylinder? Am I right? Does this engine have variable valve timing?

  • you can buy a mod kit to cut out the plastic and put a gauss there to stop all sh*t flying through

  • Looks like the pressure regulator for the fuel rail....many (most) cars have these.

  • how did you get your hands on a pre-production model (still has vents in the front, the final models did not)?

  • has it been turboed? looks like a wastgate in the top left

  • HI Ben

You can pick up a Production Sagaris for around £40K, depending on condition and mileage. :o)
