I can report that most historians now avoid "Dark Ages" in favor of MIDDLE AGES. Reading Rodney Stark's Victory of Reason explains why. But if Ingehs's contention were valid, why had the Muslims who'd laid siege to Alexandria destroyed its Serapeion, where the last books disappeared in 641? Adam wants to be regarded as a man of some standing: "I have lunch with POLITICIANS, CEO'S, FOREIGN DIGNITARIES" and "I go to black tie parties at [least] once a month." TBZ never attacked spain. Infact he attacked dark ages. He freed the enslaved, oppressed catholics, he introduced enlightment to them, he kicked out oppressors.

Folks, Muslims have nothing TRUE to say FOR Islam. Here adam offers, by chapter and verse numbers only, Qur'ān 4:88 to suggest that something I didn't reference boosts Islam's image: "What is the matter with you, then, that you have become of two parties about the hypocrites [apostates], while Allah has made them return (to unbelief) for what they have earned? Do you wish to guide him whom Allah has caused to err? And whomsoever Allah has caused to err, you shall by no means find a way for him."

What's THERE to make anyone think better of Islam? The idea that humanity is off the hook in matters of the salvation Muslims believe in? That people DON'T choose Islam, that the gravity is all Islam's? That if Allah WANTS Joe Schmoe to "err," he simply cuts him loose? Is THAT what I neglected?

Adam simply again shows himself to be a liar if not a fool. Committed Muslims are one or the other. But 4:89 urges Muslims to seize and kill SOMEONE. However, not to worry. It's never the reader.
