Hey Pete, it's patrick. I just talked to you about this same engine. Well, your warning was prophetic; on about the 12th flight, the ignition ground wire broke away from the engine and demanded an emergency landing- with the wind. Plane still intact but now I'm going to take the precautions I was too lazy to implement the first time around. You were wise and I was lazy. It's a good engine, just cheap wiring. I'm going to replace the ignition module as soon as funds permit.

To my viewers. This P-47 met its demise on its 21st mission at the IMAA in WACO TX on 23 Jun 07. Battery failure was the culprit. Pilot - Pete Dubree - San Antonio, Tx. No 2 will be in the works soon. Tremendous flying airplane
