i am wondering if the conventional wisdom is correct about lizzys break up ? Could it also be that gorham didnt get along too well with sykes ...and that phil was so pro john sykes, which must have discouraged gorham from continuing ? I know all the official reasons ...but i am just wondering ...if the recent {ish} reformation was just a reaffirmation of their ability to get along well ......just sayin.

I don't think it's so much Phil being wasted, just burnt-out. By '83 it was evident that the non-stop touring/partying, etc... was starting to catch up with 'em. The album, however, still remains one of my favorites to this day. Recorded in '82-'83, it's obvious in it's impact on the younger, up-and-coming metal bands of the day.

The mix on this is awful, guitars are buried you cant get an idea what this should sound like. I remember going to watch Lizzy several times and i dont ever remember the mix being this bad.

love the mix. really dig how the bass is so up front. Phil had an awesome sound. Glad I could hear it so good on this tune.

The album was a Metal Masterpiece,too bad it was to be there last. The cover had Phil's hand coming out of the ground! Great production from Chris Tse.Who also did Mama's Boys 'Power&Passion' plus Y&T-'Meanstreak' and countless others!
