You can get a killer antenna and amplifier. If you live any distance from the transmitting tower, you will be lucky to get ANY digital reception at all.
Im experiencing the same symptoms as the poster, and I have a great antenna system, all analog channels come in very usable. I lost 3 channels completely when I went to digital, and 2 channels are in and out with the weather.
DTV sucks.
