Leonard Cohen appears in Miami Vice as Francois Zolan in the episode, "French Twist".

He speaks French, people dress horribly and there is an alligator. It is certainly all you ever need to see of a Miami Vice episode.

@allofed "He speaks French, people dress horribly and there is an alligator. It is certainly all you ever need to see of a Miami Vice episode."

One of the greatest (and perhaps the most influential on all counts) series in television history would naturally repay careful study, so your mean-spirited comment is at best a bizarre reason for posting the clip in the first place.

How could she not fall in love with that voice?!

    And in French!

    He's a God, a poet AND a hypnotist!

This is a cool clip. Thanks!

He sounds like a Nazi in a French resistance movie... the accent is not very convincing... but the performance is great. He is scary!

One of Leoanard`s backup singers from 1988 to 1993 (Julie Christensen) is married to the actor who played Zito. Maybe there`s some connection there.

He did this because his son loved the series.
