Leonard Cohen appears in Miami Vice as Francois Zolan in the episode, "French Twist".
He speaks French, people dress horribly and there is an alligator. It is certainly all you ever need to see of a Miami Vice episode.

One of the greatest (and perhaps the most influential on all counts) series in television history would naturally repay careful study, so your mean-spirited comment is at best a bizarre reason for posting the clip in the first place.

It was 1986. Apparently Cohen thought it would be amusing to appear in MV because his kids liked the show, but after one day of filming they did a rewrite because they were underwhelmed with his performance. No real surprise. Leonard Cohen as a bad guy drug lord? As he talks to the girl on the phone, she's probably falling in love with the voice, not feeling intimidated.
