this may seem an odd question, but what speed is required on this plane (a 737-800?) on the ground before takeoff in mph?
i'm going there in a week !!! :))

Der Fan der CFM56-7'ner Reihe (wie im Video) wird aus Verbundwerkstoffen (PMC) gefertigt. Die sind leicht, haben 'ne hohe Festigkeit und geringe Kosten. Bloß mit hohen Temperaturen sollte man vorsichtig umgehen.
Der Fan (1,55m Durchmesser) erreicht bei N1 104% (max Thrust) fast 5200RPM.

die Blätter haben eine Länge von ca 1m oder so
Dann dreht der Frontfan mit ca 6000 Umdrehungen in min.
Wenn die Blattspitzen Überschallgeschwindigkeit erreichen oder sogar überschreiten müßte das Material der Schaufeln in diesem Bereich besonders belastet sein.
Gibt es da eine Abnutzungserscheinung im Schaufelendbereich?

Ich denke mal, du meinst das Geräusch, dass man auch schon ab 0:45 hören kann.
Bin zwar kein Pilot (will's werden), kann's dir aber trotzdem erklären: Dieses "schnurren" taucht auf, wenn die Schaufelspitzen langsam die Schallgeschwindigkeit überschreiten. Ähnlich ist es bei Hubschraubern (sogar noch ausgeprägter), wenn die Rotorspitzen dieses typische Blubbergeräusch von sich geben.

schleifen da etwa die fan-Schaufeln am Containment ( ziemlich oft zu hören )

OMG i have never seen another Futura video from inside the aircraft. I flew with them on the 26th August 2006 and i have to admit it was a brilliant flight with brill pilots and crew!!!!!
