  • Thats two legendary delta-winged planes; both of which made during the same era, both of which now out of service.

Concorde and the Space Shuttle were the two greatest achievements in aviation and shall be forever remembered.

I think this video might just be completely unique.

  • @psmrox At 1:12, the Twin towers can even be seen! 3 legends in a single vid.

  • @Poweredbylinux A little bit of free culture for you smart ass:

"During the Mexican oil boom, Air France flew Concorde twice weekly to Mexico City’s International Airport via Washington DC pr New York City, from September 1978 to November 1982.[103][104] The worldwide economic crisis during that period resulted in this route’s cancellation; the last flights were almost empty."

Read the full "concorde" wikipedia article, you'll see that the flight path KJFK-MMMX was going just over Florida.

  • @Timtamtoum The video says 1983. Your quote says 1978-1982. Do the math.

  • @RMinor205A

Completed statement from wiki: "Periodically Concorde visited the region on similar chartered flights to Mexico City and Acapulco."

  • @Poweredbylinux hahaah bitch you got fucking OWNED NOW SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! EAT SHIT BITCH!! U GOT PWND!!!

  • 1983!! The footage is like came from WW1 capture with an analog calculator.

  • ermmm.. FOUR legends in the vid actually... my uncle Francois was the air steward... and he was a poof, FIVE legends

  • @psmrox - you're kidding right? you don't know what the fuck you are talking about...

  • @JBofBrisbane yep. i had both. would be like a super8 w/o sound being like a flip 720p camera today, and the super with sound being upper tier hdd cameras

  • @andysim232 3 counting the twin towers, 4 counting super8 camera.

  • my dad filmed me growing up on Super8 hehe. Anyway nice to see 2 icons of Human creations at the same time =)

Pity we seem to be loosing that drive to make new ideas happen. Both of these machines where created before I was born and both are now in museums with no replacements.

  • kids of my generation have no appreciation for these great machines makes me sick, and im 18

  • What sts mission?

  • I bet most aviation fans, especially nowadays, would've killed to see that combo - Shuttle launch from a supersonic Concorde! I certainly would...

  • @Poweredbylinux NY the only state? They also flew to Washington-Dulles Dumbass!

  • Holycrap!!! the 2 most unique machines and fastests!!! Both are SEXY!!!

  • The two most amazing Machines ever built...... and now they're both gone without a successor :(

  • @TheThebounty - No, super 8 cameras without sound were reasonably affordable. Super 8 with sound was WAAAY more expensive.

  • anyone know if this was the concorde for flight 4590?

  • @Poweredbylinux You have missed two points. First of all, you saw the Concorde nose gearing down as it prepares to land. Secondly, you saw the white vertical streak shooting up the sky. Get the points?

  • Nice lucky you! I got to fly out of Florida from Tampa Bay two days after Atlantis landed :(

  • only rich people could afford super 8mm cameras and film in those days.........class!

  • That's too quiet for a Concorde.

  • I can see a pixel en route to space

  • @RampantRedBull True. There's that mini US airforce one. I'm looking forward to SKYLON.

  • @Poweredbylinux i don't know!!
