Skilt was featured by Adorngirl in her coverage of London Alternative Fashion Week 2010:
"Skilt by Richard Evans-Lacey was the only Menswear collection showing today. The models definitely kept our attention when they paraded the runway in boxers, wrapped a kilt around themselves, and then proceed to take off those boxers, wearing the kilts as God had intended. Skilt is about the traditional Scottish heritage, mashed up with English town, and country influences. Lace up shoes are traded for army boots, sporrans for removable game pockets, tartan for pinstripe tweed, and camouflage."

  • the only thing that kinda pisses me off, is the fact that the more femimine the outfit the more the designers feel the urge to use ultra masculine models. when they use adrogynes one to sell suits and the like. you can wear a kilt or a dress even if you are thin . stop the male propaganda !

  • @lukkha1 Thanks for your comment. Our S/M size Skilts cinch down to a 30'' waist and our made to order service can go slimmer if needs be. We don't want feminine men or ultra masculine men wearing our kilts. We want mature masculine men wearing them. That means men who are proud of themselves, their achievements and their bodies. I agree that promoting anything else is damaging propaganda. The Skilt is one way of expressing the mature masculine. Another way is to grow a fabulous beard.

  • 1. You dont wear underwear with a kilt

    2. they look shite unless in tartan

    3. theres a fucking st georges cross one

    4. kilts are made and designed in scotland.

  • @tomharris22 Hi Tom,

Thanks for your interest and your comment.

    1. I have to agree with you ... though the Scottish Tartans Authority apparently doesn't. They are quoted to have said it is “childish and unhygienic” and that it "flies in the face of decency".

    2. Did you know there is a George Cross tartan?

    3. I prefer this to the tartan one.

    4. Apparently not all of them are. By the way, did you know that Thomas Rawlinson, the man credited with designing the modern kilt, was an Englishman?
