The loss of former All-Pro Bob McAdoo, the man who had played an enormous factor in L.A.'s world title series win in '82 that same year in the Finals, as well as star PG Norm Nixon, ended Showtime's hope at a repeat in 1983..

@LuigiLaker not a Sixer fan, but if McAdoo and Worthy didnt get hurt, the Sixers still wouldve won, but it wouldnt have been a sweep, it wouldve went at least 6, maybe 7 games. the sad thing about that is James' game had started blossoming. i remember early that season he struggled a little but then caught on. luckily it was just his leg and nothing else.

ahhh back in the day without multiple camera angles...

Unfortunate that Worthy suffered that injury. But he overcame it & had a great "Big Game" James career w/ 3 rings.

I never thot I'd be saying this, but F my videos! Your Blues vs Aston vid is clearly above and beyond. Feel like I was there, I'm a huge soccer fan. Poop on Villa's doorsteps.

You could've also mentioned a young Jim Hill, but the bastard looks the same 25 yrs later. He's the Lionel Richie of sports broadcasting.
