This is from a wonderful documentary called 'Nine Good Teeth.' Some of these phrases I remember my grandfather saying. I understood the context but not the meaning. Nana and her daughter cover the sayings and meanings. I highly recommend renting or purchasing this film for anyone that is of Italian/Sicilian descent.

  • Wow....I hear/heard these sayings from my Mom, Dad and the rest of the family.

I'm first generation American, everyone else is right from Sicily.

  • @themanroom126 Yeah, I remember my Grandfather using these phrases too, but never quite understood them until I saw the Documentary 'Nine Good Teeth'. It's available on Netflix if you like documentaries.
