In this series I will show you a modified version of the US issue LC-2 LBE (load bearing equipment). This system is specifically setup as a 72 hour survival kit to be used as is without the addition of a backpack. This system is designed to be survival / evasion type gear, NOT a traditional tactical type system. This kit is more of a bare bones kit mainly consisting of essentials to support one person for 1 to 3 days on the move. It is designed to be a lightweight, mobile, and adaptable solution to carrying essential gear in the field. This system is also a perfect setup for day hiking. Video 3 of 3.

  • Youre one of the few smart ones that arent hauling a bunch of superfluous junk.

    Good videos. : )

  • finally some one who knows what they are talking about the but the platypus is better then the canteen cause its compact so i would recommend putting the platypus in and takeing out the canteen but leave the canteen cup so you can still make your water pure

  • dude, you should add a Multi-tool to your kit. It's great though.

  • just made my own tape stick. great job!

  • great LBE what kind of belt are u using i cant seem to find a belt thats not to expensive what is keeping ur belt/shoulder harness intact also all ur pouches what keeping it intact to ur belt(ALICE clips moole webing) so thats its not sliding all over the belt is this all black hawk model bands what ur cost all together just the packs/belts/shoulder/harness

i trying to make 1 of these i have everything except the belt i cant seem to find 1 where did u buy all this website/store

  • An overall good video with only a couple of things I found to comment on. Your holster and mag pouch are on the same side, would it not be easier to have the mags on your non dominant side or is that how you shoot? My other comment is a suggestion, switching to "H" style suspenders help distribute the load better.

  • @holdmyhandtv And how did you add your "compact survival kit"? It has molle, but it's an ALICE belt?

  • What's the name/model of your holster?

  • hi, i might have missed it, but do have a spoon or something like that in your kit, for your meals?

  • nice video :D i like ur setup

  • This is a great vid PackRat556, I think this would be great for day hikes as well as survival! I think your set up is great but I have a few questions. Where did you get the holster and how does it fit you and your side arm? I have found a few sites where I can find a few things but where did you find yours?

  • Two essential qualities of the "Compact Survival Kit" ...

*MINE* is a waterproof dry box, with a caribiner lanyad AND

It fits in a cargo pocket ... even in the hip pocket of jeans. It is VERY important to keep the whole kit dry and that it is VERY portable.
