He is, at least sort of.
An angel with a craggy yet oddly beautiful face, a devilish amount of charisma, and a voice so full of warmth, it even warms MY cynical, bitter little heart.
Also, by all accounts, an honest leftist who didn't just talk the talk, but walked the walk!

@kellyoneill I'd like to have your opinion on this. I think the sound of the Dubliners during this period was truly tremendous. Part was the addition Jim McCann. I wish Cieran Bourke could have sung with them here. sigh.
