Nice to see EA spamming their stamps over content they had no hand in creating. Again.

Love L4D

The first game leans towards survival cooperative horror (more bullet and item management), while the second leans hard towards action. Both are amazing.

@MrBOPESquad2 I don't know about frame rate issues, but from what I've read there are some lag issues that are just unavoidable no matter how fast net connections get. I haven't used the service myself but I'd definitely be at least willing to give it a shot if I had good internet and a bad computer.

@MrBOPESquad2 Are you familiar with OnLive? It's a service that lets you play PC games remotely through an OnLive computer. Since it's all basically streaming video, you don't need a very powerful PC to do it, but you do need a good net connection.
I'd definitely recommend it to someone in your position.

What do you think of this game compared to it's sequel?
-
I liked this game, I thought you'd touch on the overpowered melee and unbalanced versus mode (survivor friendly) though.

L4D and L4D2 are awesome! Especially with "The Passing" campaign and "The Sacrifice" also it's told that all the campaigns were supposed to be continuations of the end of the last one but valve didn't want players to be dissappointed to find out that they went through all of that just to end up in the same thing but just in a different place,so they changed it up making it so each campaign is different

Have you ever tried Killing floor? it's compared with l4d
-
Seeing as you reviewed this, could you possibly review l4d2 as a comparison?

@gilgamesh310 SS2.
And a vacuum exerts no force that sucks things into it. It has nothing to do with films. The pressurised air will blow out. Nothing will suck it out.
Beware the poison beans of Nostalgia - Doom may have been ground-breaking at the time, but Serious Sam and Painkiller do their job well. :)... Though their sequels smell somewhat.
I figured the Doom sub-genre of gaming was intended to make the player feel powerful, which isn't really the case in L4D.

It's not nostalgia - I still play Doom religiously.
And yeah, there are clear distinctions between Doom and L4D, but the fundamental mechanics of play are very similar.

...to do what Doom did as well as Doom did it.
They aren't awful games by any means, but neither are they anywhere near as good as Doom.
