I disagree with every other comment being a LZ comparison. Guys who think they are clever by noting a rock band sound like the originators of rock, are becoming loathsome.

It's also rather funny to be schooled on Zeppelin, if you only knew who you were talkin' to!

@RuffianBB And because Zepplin was so versatile, people who compare new bands to Zeppelin aren't necessarily lazy but they are probably right. Of course people who say that Rival Sons is just like and only like Led Zeppelin are wrong. But I wasn't one of those people was I?

@RuffianBB And you misread me as well. I wasn't saying that the drummer was only influenced by JB and I never said that they only sound like Zeppelin. I read your comment and it sounded like you only knew Zeppelin from their hits like Whole Lotta Love. It's just that most classic rock and blues rock listeners see the similarities between new bands and Zeppelin. The reason for that is that Zeppelin was so versatile that they touched a great part of the musical spectrum.

@HydeKelso123 Guys, I love Zeppelin and it's fine if you think all rock music sounds somewhat like them (they are the Godfathers of rock). As good as they were though, they didn't INVENT music itself. Apparently, if you are good and play rock, you must sound like Zeppelin (eg Soundgarden). I guess Hip Hop bands are lucky - the reviews don't go on and on about how they sound just like Dr. Dre or whoever the godfathers of Hip Hop are. Gaga, your music is great! It's just like Madonna!!

@RuffianBB Actually I saw them again last night at a small, free, 'secret gig' in London. I chatted to them a bit and, as you say, very nice guys indeed (and very tolerant with all the people trying talk with them, like myself :-P)! I asked them about the LZ comparison and to be honest it seemed like a subject they didn't really want to talk about too much but seemed to take it as a compliment. Also, as you say, they're much better live, which is refreshing!
